Seller and product

Cited Authorities LLC sells and licenses Tax Letter Scan software. It is not a law firm, accounting firm, tax-return preparer, government agency, or part of the IRS. The apps identify supported notice families and organize general official-source information. They do not apply law to your facts, predict an outcome, determine eligibility, calculate a legal deadline or balance, or recommend a position.

Free use and purchase

On-device identification and the basic explanation are free. One complete Guided Report requires one consumable in-app purchase at the price shown by Apple or Google. The first report is not free. There is no subscription, trial, outside payment link, or reusable template library. The app prepares, validates, encrypts, and saves the complete draft before opening the store purchase sheet.

Separate digital license

Each purchase grants a limited, revocable, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use and export one Guided Report. You do not buy ownership of the app, source code, report system, templates, or content library. You may not resell, sublicense, share, publish, scrape, automate access to, remove a watermark from, bypass purchase or integrity checks for, or distribute the report or a substantial part of the product.

Marketplace and recovery

Apple or Google processes payment and provides the receipt under its marketplace terms. A consumable purchase is not a store-restorable report entitlement. Encrypted platform-private backup is the recovery method when enabled. A confirmed refund, reversal, chargeback, fraud event, or revocation ends access to the associated report.

Your responsibility

The paper notice and current official instructions control. Check every code, date, amount, tax year, address, link, and instruction. Unsupported or ambiguous documents produce no paid offer. The launch language is English.

Privacy, availability, and rights

Notice content stays on the device. The service keeps only the minimum operational purchase record described in the mobile privacy notice. The software may change or be unavailable. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not permit Cited Authorities LLC to exclude. Maryland law governs only to the extent it may lawfully do so without overriding mandatory consumer or marketplace rights.
